CUSTOM ORDERS

All orders are completed using the charming old-world artform of calligraphy -- each word is carefully hand-lettered with a nib-tipped pen dipped in ink. Thus, I am able to accomodate any ink color request - from black to white to rainbow to metallic. However, there is a $15 flat mixing fee for any ink color other than black.


LETTERING STYLES

I offer addressing in two distinctive SDC styles - a flourishing cursive called Chelsea ... and a simplistic print called Jane. A combination style of the two is also available. Please see below for examples:



SCHEDULING YOUR PROJECT

To have your project penciled in on my calendar, I require a $30.00 non-refundable security deposit. The deposit is due at least one month before you mail your paper products to me. The security deposit will be deducted from your final invoice.

Full and final payments are due prior to the shipping of your completed project{s}. All payments are accepted via PayPal.

When purchasing your paper products, you must make sure to purchase at least 15% extra to allow for any errors and/or mishaps. Ink splatterings are a common occurrence with nib-tipped pens and thus, extra product is both mandatory and necessary.


ADDRESSING

THE PROCESS:

Most addressing orders have a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks. Rush orders are available depending on schedule availability for an additional fee.

Below is a quick overview of the addressing process. For full details, please request an order form from me.

Quite simply, you will need to type up your list of addresses alphabetically in a Microsoft Word document. You will need to type your list of addresses exactly as you want me to hand letter them because I will be following the list word-for-word. This means you will need to consider formality and abbreviations and type the list accordingly. The list will need to be numbered exactly as shown below:

If the list is submitted in any other fashion, there will be a $20 fee for the time I will have to take to re-format it. If you are including inner envelopes, I will provide you the format for listing those, as well. {Don't worry - it's simple!}


PRICING FOR ADDRESSING:



Of note:

- Addresses include 3 lines + zip. Addresses area always centered and zip codes are always placed on the last line and spaced out with small dots in between each number, unless you specify differently.

- There is a $0.50 fee per additional line. {Apartment numbers, extra names, etc.}


ESCORT CARDS

THE PROCESS:

Similar to addressing, you will need to type up a list of the names/table numbers you would like lettered in a Microsoft Word document. You will need to type your list of names/table numbers exactly as you want me to hand letter them because I will be following the list word-for-word. Please double-space and number the list.


SHIPPING + HANDLING FOR ALL PROJECTS

The client is responsible for mailing all paper products to me and I assume no responsibility until I have received the paper products.

Every order includes a flat fee of $16.00 to cover return shipping + handling. Projects are shipped back to clients using USPS Priority mail and include proper insurance amounts and delivery confirmation.


REQUESTING A QUOTE

I am happy to provide a rough quote free of charge if you provide me a brief description of your project including the following information:

- What it is you need lettered {outer/inner envelopes; escort cards, signage, etc.}

- The number of items you need lettered.

- The ink color you would like.

- The lettering style you would like {Jane, Chelsea or a combination}

- The date you would be able to send your products to me AND the date you would need your lettered products back by.


REFUNDS

Due to the subjective nature of calligraphy, refunds and/or exchanges are not available.
