NOTES ON GEOMETRY PROBLEMS IN THE DESIGN OF PARAGLIDERS
The attached drawings and schemes define the geometry, trim, and incidence problems to solve in the design
of
new paragliders of Laboratori d'envol. The suggested geometric problems are solved by
means of the
formulations of analytical geometry in the space, having
used subroutines in Fortran that give their results
in form of listings
and CAD drawings in .dxf format.
1. Definition of the geometry of the wing and verifications
of incidence and trim.
2. Definition of the geometry of the wing and verifications of incidence and trim (cont).
3. Geometric formation of the wing.
4. The problem of the profiles in the space.
5. Longitudinal equilibrium of the central profile.
6. Position of the profiles (general case).
7. Proposition: angle of incidence "seen" by a generic profile.
