Port Orchard: Prosecuters have charged Dennis Ray Lunde with first-degree theft in Kitsap County Superior Court and court documents alledge that the loss in dollars and posessions totals $6,100. In court documents, police allege Lunde admitted to posing as a Navy Captain to boost his reputation, and posing as "Annette" (his fictitious wife) to tell people he was in hospital or dead. Kitsap County Sheriff's Detectives alledge that Dennis Ray Lunde, 60, of Poulsbo scammed 13 people - often out of hundreds of dollars - through fraudulent online model ship sales. Lunde's internet commerce scam has ripped off more than a dozen model-ship building hobbyists across North America.

Kitsap County Deputy Prosecutor Chris Casad said that there was a posibility that there are other victums too. A check of Kitsap County Sheriff's Office records showed Lunde was a suspect in at least 11 crimes involving theft and fraud since 2000, and has similar convictions in Washington state.

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS with anyone calling themselves "Capt Dennis" aka "Capt Deno" aka "Dennis Raye". He is in fact "Dennis Ray Lunde", age approx 60, a retired postal worker, living in Washington State, USA. He is a very slick con artist and has a history of stealing money and goods over the internet after first making out to be your new best friend. He often tells the story of being a retired US Navy Captain (in military intelligence) who retired three months before he would have become an Admiral and who now lives for his six year old granddaughter "Munchkin" aka "Jessica Nichole" (from his daughter). He preys on members of various modeling forums for their money and "in trade" goods. He runs each fraud for about three months and in the end tries to escape from returning your money for goods he sold - or traded for - but never shipped, by pretending to have a heart attack and in two cases to die. During this period of the fraud, he reports his phony medical condition and hospitalization by sending out e-mails from an imaginary wife named Annette. His real-life wife of over 40 years is named Susan.

* He has told hobby lumber stores that he has access to huge hobby wood markets through nine different modeling forums and wants to become their sales agent on the US west coast and that they should send him their wood to sell for no money down...
* He has posted lists on internet hobby forums of non-existent static ship model kits for sale at half price...
* He has tried to trade his non-existent ship model kits and his non-existent model ship construction plans for hobby wood and/or power tools...
* He has obtained hobby wood and model ship construction plans from internet stores using bounced cheques...

Dennis Lunde is very much alive and has used the following two addresses for fraud deliveries:

PO Box 680, Keyport, WA, 98345, USA.
DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO EITHER OF THESE TWO ADDRESSES.
