I'm sorry folks but John Owen never read this verse. If he did there was no way he could have said an Amen to it!!
How can a person who believes his heart is the seat and citadel of sin and maintains a rebellion against God all his days possibly say Amen to this verse? If you can figure that out please contact me & show me it from the Bible.

Reader...!  Can  -you-  identify?  Can  -you-  say what the Pslamist said? He speaketh just like  Hezekiah!  Were these saints... deluded people who did not know the sinfulness of their own hearts?

The puritanical false doctrine of sanctification that declares that a Christian's heart maintains a rebellion against God all his days and as a result must be engaged in an ongoing war against the wicked monster of a heart within himself as he "struggles with his indwelling sin and remaining corruption" that is the source of his constant defeat... is a doctrine of darkness from the pit!
