Commentary
Here we have ladies and gentlemens, in the King James one and only true, inspired copy of the Scriptures... the... *Ceremonial Law* ... Ta-da!!
And... guess what ¿ This is the One and Only verse in the
~entire Bible~ where the word "ceremony" is found. Here it
is in the plural form. Additionally it is actually a
~mis-translation~ for the Hebrew word is translated as
"judgment" 296 times in the OT. Also as "ordinance" and a few others
many other times. If you have a KJ Concordance check it out. So
it means a judgment or ordinance of God. lt has Nothing to Do with
"ceremonies". It's a Moral issue.
The idea of a so-called "ceremonial law", as opposed to the
so-called "moral law" is an Unbiblical concept. It is a
concoction of the human brain in an attempt to float the false
doctrine of Covenant Theology. Covenant Theology says that the 10 Commandment Covenant is still in force in the New Testament age. But in order to say that
they have to find some way to explain the passages in the NT that
clearly teach that the law has been abolished in Christ.
They can't say that that law is the 10 Commandments because that would
be self-refuting. So they say that the law is divided up into different
classes or categories such as Moral; Civil; Judicial; and the great
monster... Ceremonial. Now they can "explain" how the "law" has
been done away in Christ [2Cor 3:7-14 / Heb 8:13]
while it is still in effect at the same time by saying that it
was this so-called "ceremonial" law that is done away while the
so-called "moral" law is still in force; which "moral" law is the 10
Commandments.
See Mat 5:18
Covenant Theology/Ceremonial law are False Doctrines.
