Commentary
Saying;... saying what? Well, the following verses are the
Ten Commandments, that's what. This passage is the heart of the book of
Deuteronomy, meaning the second giving of the law. This whole chapter
can be summed in 2 words... Ten Commandments. And the "passkey" word
is... Covenant.
Here's another verse wicked commentators mangle to death. The context
of the passage is quite clear that Moses was referring to the
Decalogue; the Ten Commandments. This chapter is what is usually
referred to as the second giving of the law, or "version 2" if you
like. This is precisely what the very Name of the Book means;
Deuteronomy. The "second law". Starting with the very next verse
6, any fool can see that this is the Ten Commandments
folks! What numbskull would deny that? Answer; John Gill; Matthew
Poole; JFB. In fact JFB say, quote; "—not the ten
commandments—for they were proclaimed directly by the Divine
Speaker Himself, but the statutes and judgments which are repeated in
the subsequent portion of this book." And what is the "subsequent
portion of this book"? It's non other than the Ten Commandments!
Gill says, quote; "to show you the word of the Lord; ~not the
decalogue,~ that they heard with their own ears, but the other
laws which were afterwards given, that were of the ceremonial and
judicial kind:"
Yet the entire context is the Decalogue; the Ten commandments. This is
the book of Deuteronomy folks, which means the Second Law. It's a
testimony of the Second giving of the Law that God gave to Israel on
Sinai, namely, the Ten Commandments. Yet these men say ~not~ the Ten
Commandments?¿
Poole says, quote; "not the ten commandments, which God himself
uttered, but the following statutes and judgments." Yet the very next
verses -are- the "following statutes and judgments" and
guess what they are without looking? They are the Ten Commandments!
Both Gill, JFB and Poole had to be smoking Panamanian Red folks!
Their comments go against the grain of the entire
chapter and book. This is even stupider than Satan for at least Satan
is subtle and tries to hide & disguise his lies. But this is so
obvious it fools no one. How do these commentators receive such wide
acceptance? Does anybody ever even really read these goons?
My kingdom for men with discernment and the Berean spirit.
