2Ki 20:3 Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have
walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done
that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. ASV

Commentary
The verse is identical to Isaiah 38:3.
The astounding thing about Hezekiah is that he had the unmitigated gall
to actually -tell God- that he was ~~Perfect~~! Walk
up to any average evan-jellyroller and try to tell him that a Christian
is -Perfect- and see how far you get. You will as much as be
condemned as some kind of Wesleyan Perfectionist heretic. BTW folks I
do not subscribe to sinless perfection. And guess what... neither did John Wesley!!
When Hezzy told the Lord to remember how Perfect he was did God rear
back in horror and excoriate him for "knot knowing his own sinful
heart" and all that stupid jazz? Not only did God -not- do that, he
heard Hezzy's prayer and granted him 15 more years of life.
Can you identify with Hezekiah and confess to the Lord how you are
walking before him with a ~~Perfect~~ heart and are doing that which is
-Good- in His sight? Or are you stupified by John Owen's false doctrine of the heart? Owen's false doctrine is the basis of the false view of Romans 7; 14ff
that says this describes a regenerate man who must struggle with his
Indwelling Sin and Remaining Corruption because after all... Christians aren't -Perfect-!
