Commentary
It ~Says~... that David's heart was ~~Perfect~~. See Noah.
It does not say 'Christ In him' was perfect. It says his ~heart~ was
perfect. Christ -In- a person and the person's 'heart' are two
different things. To be sure the Scriptures do teach that Christ is
indeed -In- a saved person; that's the doctrine of Federalism and
speaks to the Christian's Positional, Legal standing before God.
Scripture also teaches Practical, Personal, Subjective
righteousness/holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. This
verse along with many other passages speaks to the latter. David was a
Perfect man as is all God's people, because God has removed their
wicked hearts and given them new hearts that are righteous and the
result is they walk in newness of life and keep His commandments.
