Some really weird news this Thanksgiving as Dimension Films might be flirting with the idea of remaking "The Amityville Horror". BD first learned of the news apparently, and for those of you keeping score at home, yes, Platinum Dunes did remake "The Amityville Horror" back in 2005 -- with Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George, starring as the infamous couple, who are haunted by evil spirits living within the walls of their new Long Island home. It'll be interesting to see if Dimension actually goes through with this, or if this was just a secret plan by them to wake us all up from our Thanksgiving turkey coma's. Either way, we'll be sure to keep an eye on this story for any further developments. By the way, don't confuse this film with
The Amityville Tapes, which is an MGM production that will move ahead once MGM gets their financial woes straightened out. |
