Open Events 2007
Abertillery & District Wheelers Open 25
The Open 25 for 2007 will take place on Sunday, 29thof April with the first rider off at 10:01. This years event is organised by Ian Davies.
The Course
Last year, road works forced the club to switch to the more sporting R25/20 course, this year we're back on the fast R25/7a course. Hopefully if there isn't a head wind on the run down to the Hardwicke roudabout, there could be some fast times recorded.
With the demise of the R25/3, this course is potentially the fastest course available in Wales this year! even without a ski slope start, there have been some respectable times recorded over the years.

Start at drain cover on left, 165 yards beyond Road Narrows sign,
a mile north-east of Raglan on old A40 road.
Proceed towards Monmouth to junction with A40, one mile west of Mitchel
Troy (4 miles) where turn left with care to join A40.
After passing Granada Services, bear left and continue on A40 to Raglan
roundabout (9.18 miles) where take 3rd exit (A40) to Abergavenny (Hardwick)
roundabout (16.97 miles).
Turn by circling roundabout and retrace on A40 to Raglan roundabout where
take 2nd exit (A40) to finish 350 yards east of roundabout in line with
lamp standard WB103 at far end of lay-by on left.
